#222, The Guardian Series

This is a hand-mounted digital inkjet transfer. The image was created on an iPad, refined on a computer and printed using archival methods on a transfer film. It was then chemically transferred from the film onto archival watercolor paper. 22 Karat gold leaf was applied by hand to the image. The entire piece was then mounted on to a prepared cradled panel with two sheets of archival printmaking paper as accents. The final step was coating the entire piece with Renaissance Museum Wax to protect the image. If I ever do this piece again, the nature of the handwork would result in a slightly different product. I cannot reproduce it exactly in this media. You are guaranteed a hand touched work of art.
